Our popular Santa Special services are back for 2026, and we’re ready to welcome you for some festive fun, Yorkshire style!

The Magic Begins

The Christmas magic starts the moment you step into our festively decorated Engine House. Follow the twinkling lights through our walkway to the waiting area to collect your tickets and present vouchers.

When it’s time to depart, our Train Manager will escort you to the platform where the Santa Special awaits, steam hissing and ready to roll!

Meet Santa & Friends

• A Gift from Father Christmas: During your journey to the park and back, Santa will visit each carriage and deliver a specially selected present for every child.

• Grumble Bear & Penny: Join handler Penny—our resident story weaver and crafty creator—for magical tales and art.

Festive Treats

After your train ride, make your way through the deorated Display Hall, to where you can see Santa in his grotto for a photo opportunity with the man himself.
Then head into to the café to warm your cockles. We’ll be serving up hot drinks and traditional mince pies for the adults, whilst the children enjoy juice and biscuits—the perfect way to socialise and soak up the holiday atmosphere.

We are running every weekend in December leading up to the big day, plus a few extra dates:

• December 19th & 20th

• December 23rd & Christmas Eve (24th)
